Management Interns will provide APM with assistance in effectively managing our clients, events/tours and the company. They will have a variety of responsibilities that will fall under, but are not limited to the following categories:
Talent Management
- Assisting with seeking out opportunities that will further clients career.
- Entertainment Industry Research
- Establishing contacts and maintaining relationships with about record labels, publishing companies, producers, booking agents, promoters, publicists, stylists, photographers, recording engineers, video directors, music licensees, etc
Booking
- Assisting with seeking and securing gigs for our clients.
- Establishing contacts and maintaining relationships with Venues/Churches/Conference etc for booking opportunities for clients
Road/Tour Management
- Assisting clients on tour and at local events.
- Running errands
- Staffing Merchandise or Promotional Tables at Events.
- Assisting with management of clients and APM street teams.
- Flyer distribution
Event Management
- Assisting with Event Planning
- Assisting with Event Marketing
- Researching Venues and Vendors
- Researching and Securing Appropriate Talent for Events
- Working with all other departments to make sure that creative design and marketing efforts are flowing smoothly.
- Assisting at talent showcases and other events.
Administrative and Other Responsibilities
- General Administrative Duties including:
- General Correspondence: Answering phone calls, Faxing, Creating and Responding to Email, Creating Letters, Postal Runs.
- Ordering supplies and promotional materials for client and company
- Website and Blog Maintenance
- Email Marketing
- Database Maintenance
Management Intern Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be enrolled in college.
- Three (3) month minimum commitment required.
- Must commit to a minimum of 15-20 hrs per week.
- Must follow policies stated in the APM Intern Handbook.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Must have daily access to computer with high speed internet connection.
- Must possess basic skills/experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point, Web Based Email and the Internet.
- Must meet all project requirements and deadlines
- Must provide supervisor with up to date contact information including at least one phone number
- Must provide photo documentation of all event activities.
- A cell phone is highly recommended.
- Track your time using Time Tracking Software (provided)
- Must submit a report of all postings and activities to your supervisor by assigned due date.
